Great to meet you!

The stress of modern life, especially in NYC, can leave us feeling lost, stuck or isolated. These feelings, when combined with loss, despair, grief or even normal life transitions, can be overwhelming. I have an MSW from Columbia University and have more than 12 years of clinical experience. My postgraduate training includes the Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the William Alanson White Institute.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in depression, anxiety, grief and trauma. I have extensive experience working with clients of varied cultural, economic and ethnic backgrounds as well as diverse sexual and gender identities. I am psychodynamically oriented but I also have training in motivational interviewing, mindfulness

strategies and cognitive behavioral therapy.

What you can expect from me

A typical client might be experiencing a life transition such moving to a new city, coping with the loss of a loved one, or recently ending a relationship. Many simply struggle with what’s going on in the world. A few of the ways I might work with a client might be by helping them to understand the origins of their feelings, examining relationship patterns, and working to form new healthy habits.
