I am a licensed professional counselor who has practiced for decades. I love people and enjoy guiding clients to higher personal satisfaction. My aim is to be trustworthy, confidential, and caring. Using an evidence based approach, clients enjoy an uplifting approach to change steeped in positive psychology, cognitive-bias training, Buddhist philosophy (not religion), connection, communication skills, humor, EMDR, and compassion for individual sessions, groups, couples and families, ages 8+ through senior citizens. I specialize in trauma, addiction, artists, peak performance athletes, mental health counselors, loss, relationships, communication skills, personal growth, management, professional stress as doctor/nurse/lawyer/CEO, and business managers, and aviators.

My style is interactive, supportive, and honest. Our sessions will be paced, open, exploratory, warm, focused, insightful. Humor is used if appropriate and supportive. Research shows humor boosts self-esteem.
