Great to meet you!

Taking the first step toward therapy can be overwhelming and intimidating. You’ve accomplished that and I want to support you in continuing that success. Change is not easy, and I am here to provide you with an honest, supportive, and helpful professional travel guide on your journey. Connecting with a professional you trust and feel seen and supported by and are the most important factors to making change happen in your life.

Sometimes in life we feel disappointed, overwhelmed, disconnected, or just stuck. This might be with work, family, relationships, life choices, or your health. I am here to help navigate these paths and reach the other side while identifying the challenges or cycles that seem to be causing the slowing of progress. We are all born with a desire to live a full, happy, healthy life. What is holding you back from that? I aim to create a warm, safe, supportive space to identify what is holding you back and together, we will work to reach the place you want to be.

My approach to therapy

I aim to create a warm, safe, supportive space to identify what is holding you back and together, we will work to reach the place you want to be. My approach is compassionate, warm, and direct. We will work on building trust and breaking the cycles that are holding you back. I value honest and open communication, building upon your strengths, use of humor, and encouraging peace in one’s life.

I have more than a decade of experience, working in a wide-ranging variety of settings and working with folks with a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and problems. I happen to be a veteran and have an understanding with the challenges faced by military members, veterans, their family members and the challenges that are faced by the transitions imposed by serving and the military culture.

I also have extensive experience working with grief, loss, and terminal illnesses. I have worked with many families faced with the reality of chronic and terminal illnesses. I’ve worked with family members who experienced the sudden loss of a loved one and the darkness and uncertainty that involves and feels all-encompassing.
