Great to meet you!

Christina Ward, LCSW, LMFT, MCAP, has over 20 years of experience helping adults, couples, and families through separation, divorce, and family conflict, as well as depression, anxiety, and substance use. She also works as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, which gives her a practical understanding of what families face during a divorce. Therapy with Christina is separate from any legal or court-related service. If you are looking for steady, practical support, Christina would be glad to help.

My approach to therapy

Christina uses cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-focused CBT to help clients work through the anger, grief, and anxiety that come with family change. With couples, she draws on the Gottman Method and emotion-focused therapy to rebuild communication. With co-parents and families, she uses structural and attachment-based family therapy, keeping the focus on the children. For substance use concerns, she uses motivational interviewing. Her style is solution-focused and strength-based: she names what is not working, builds on what is, and helps clients move toward a plan.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a conversation, not an interview. Christina will ask what brought you in and listen first. Together you will set goals and leave with clear, practical next steps. The aim is for you to walk out feeling calmer, clearer, and less alone in what you are facing.
