Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Chrissy Anderson Runnels, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been a counselor since 2011, and I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I am passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges with confidence, clarity, and support. Many of the people I work with are dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, anger management concerns, family issues, relationship challenges, and life transitions that can feel overwhelming or isolating. Seeking help is not always easy, but you do not have to face difficult times alone. My approach is grounded in building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard, understood, and supported as we work together toward healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is collaborative, compassionate, and goal-oriented. I strive to help clients identify their strengths, build practical coping skills, work through obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, anger, relationship issues, family concerns, or emotional overwhelm, I tailor therapy to your individual needs and goals. I believe therapy should be both supportive and useful, giving you a space to process what you are going through while also helping you develop tools that can improve your daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. My commitment is to walk alongside you every step of the way with care, honesty, and encouragement.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will take time to get to know you, learn about what brings you to counseling, and gather background information about your experiences, concerns, strengths, and hopes for therapy. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, family issues, relationship challenges, or a specific life concern, we will begin identifying goals that align with your needs and priorities. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we will begin building a plan for therapy that feels supportive, practical, and focused on helping you move forward.
