Why We’ll Work Well Together

  • You’ll always come first: your comfort, your insights, your goals.
  • I bring both seasoned expertise and genuine curiosity, so you benefit from tried-and-true methods plus innovative ideas.
  • Humor and humanity: yes, therapy can be serious work, but a well-timed quip or a lighthearted moment can also help us move forward.

If you’re ready to explore your strengths, navigate challenges, and design the life you truly want, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way. Let’s get started.

My approach to therapy

I believe you’re the expert on your own life. From our first session, I’ll create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard. My role is to listen deeply, reflect honestly, and gently guide you toward insight; think of me as your co-pilot (with far less bickering than Google Maps).

I draw on 20+ years of clinical experience and an eclectic, evidence-based toolbox, including CBT to challenge unhelpful thoughts; Solution-Focused and Reality Therapy to set practical goals; ACT for values-driven action; and mindfulness/somatic techniques for grounding in anxiety or trauma work. I also use strengths-based and narrative approaches to reshape the stories you tell about yourself.

Our process is structured yet flexible: we’ll assess where you are and define clear goals (using DSM-5 when helpful), then each week “check our GPS,” celebrate progress, troubleshoot obstacles, and adjust our course. Between sessions, you may practice brief exercises—mindfulness, thought records, or creative prompts—to turn insight into action.

I combine compassionate expertise with genuine curiosity and a dash of clever humor; because a well-timed quip can sometimes unlock fresh perspective and relief. Grounded in traditional best practices, I stay up to date with emerging research and integrate culturally sensitive, inclusive methods.

In short, I offer a balanced blend of proven techniques, personalized collaboration, and creative adaptability; all delivered with empathy, respect, and the occasional lighthearted moment to brighten your journey.
