Great to meet you!

I have been an LCSW for almost 15 years, providing high quality mental health counseling in variety of settings. I love to support people navigating anxiety, panic, OCD, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, parenting worries, and general life changes and stressors.

Originally from Maryland, I've lived all over the country as a military spouse. I am a mom, a former collegiate athlete, and an avid reader. You might see or hear my 13-year old rescue dog snoring from her recliner during our sessions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is focused on finding your unique strengths and identifying barriers to change. I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all thing. I try to operate from a holistic place by utilizing a variety of therapy frameworks depending on your specific needs.

Sessions are warm and welcoming; a single hour out of the entire week focused solely on you—your thoughts, feelings, and actions. I provide real-time feedback and we work together to identify tangible changes. Though therapy can be heavy, I think it's important to find the light and humor whenever appropriate.

I am not a therapist who presents as an all-knowing person or someone who has all the answers. I am here to walk beside you as we find those answers together explore what is getting in the way of you living the life you want.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect to do most of the talking. I want to hear what is going on, what you've tried, what hasn't worked, what is working, and what was the push to finally schedule the therapy appointment. Ideally, we will start to identify some preliminary treatment goals to help keep us focused and able to measure progress.
