Great to meet you!

I grew up an anxious kid. I never really knew what it was called, but I knew how it made me feel...Not So Good.

Since graduating with my masters degree in social work from Loyola University in 2003, I have specialized in different forms of anxiety, sought out information on how anxiety operates, and have used clinically proven methods to help clients regain control over anxiety

My approach to therapy

I believe in meeting my clients where they are at in life. So many of us are trying so hard just to survive life, but having difficulty thriving in life. I work with clients on figuring out their goals and then helping them reach their goals by providing an educational foundation and practical tools that they can use in the real world. I work to get my clients to a place that they no longer need me because they are able to thrive on their own.

What you can expect from me

I think it’s so important for clients to know how anxiety operates. Armed with this knowledge, I can work with clients to identify where anxiety is taking over and provide tools that will help them regain control. To keep these tools sharp we need to use them. Therefore, the use of these skills will be most beneficial when practiced outside of session with a provided plan of action.
