Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with nearly three decades of experience, earning my master’s degree in counseling psychology in 1998 with a specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for children. In 2021, I completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Resiliency in the Helping Professions, focusing on evidence-based cognitive and mindfulness strategies that promote emotion regulation, realistic optimism, and self-compassion. My experience includes working in residential, day treatment, outpatient, and public-school settings, supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families.

My approach to therapy

I believe every person comes to therapy with a unique story that deserves understanding and respect. Because of this, I take an open-minded and flexible approach, collaborating closely with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that meet their specific needs and goals. My style is supportive, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I also encourage clients to step outside their comfort zones when appropriate, as meaningful growth often comes from trying new perspectives and behaviors. Together, we work toward lasting positive change and greater overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we begin to understand your concerns, strengths, and goals. Together, we will identify the challenges you are facing and start developing a clear path forward. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and confident that positive change is possible. Most importantly, I want you to leave with a renewed sense of hope and the knowledge that you do not have to navigate life's challenges alone.
