Great to meet you!

I've always believed that to help someone heal, you have to understand their whole life. Not just what's troubling them, but how they sleep, how they move through the world, what their relationships feel like, what their body holds.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in New Jersey since 2018, working with adults navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, grief, and life transitions. A significant part of my practice is specialized OCD and anxiety work. I completed postgraduate training through the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) with the International OCD Foundation, and I treat both adults and children using evidence-based Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). My broader training includes Attachment-Focused EMDR, CBT, ACT, DBT, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Before private practice, I worked in community mental health, hospice care, and grief counseling, all experiences that shaped how I sit with people in moments of real uncertainty and loss.

My approach to therapy

My interest in the mind-body connection came from lived experience. For over a decade I was a registered yoga teacher and completed Trauma-Sensitive Yoga training through the Center for Trauma and Embodiment. Early in my career I also worked extensively with children as a Registered Play Therapist. These experiences taught me that healing often happens outside of words and they quietly inform every session I do today. I'm currently finishing my Trauma-Informed Weight Lifting (TIWL) certification, which extends that same work: helping people build a more empowered, less fraught relationship with their bodies and movement. Whatever brings someone to therapy - OCD, trauma, grief, a chapter of life that no longer fits - I meet them where they are. I don't think therapy is just about feeling better. I think it's about becoming more fully yourself.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity to slow down. We'll talk about what's been weighing on you and what you're hoping will feel different. You don't need a clear narrative or prepared answers - just show up. I'll ask questions, listen closely, and together we'll start to understand what you're carrying. You can expect warmth, directness, and a pace that respects yours. Most people leave feeling a sense of relief, not because the hard work is done, but because they've taken a real step and can see there's a way forward.
