Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Christine Kilgallen, LPC. I've been in the counseling field for 12+ years and have worked with adults, children, and families with a variety of mental health needs. While most of my work is with folks who experience anxiety, depression, and grief, I have also worked with clients who struggle with trauma, substance use, mood disorders, and psychosis. I have training and experience with evidence-based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

My approach to therapy

I endorse a client-centered approach and view therapy as a collaborative partnership. I will walk alongside you to support you in your experience and draw on your strengths to help build your toolkit of coping strategies. My goal is to provide a safe, caring space in which you can process your thoughts and feelings. Along the way, I will help you build skills and insights to be able to successfully manage stressors and meet life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

I want my clients to feel in control of their wellness journey, so we work together in the first session to develop goals they want to work on on. I also like for clients to be able to see their progress as well as feel their progress, so I incorporate brief tools and assessments to track growth and symptom improvement. Most importantly, I want clients to walk away from our sessions feeling understood, validated, and accepted - no matter what is going on for them that day.
