Great to meet you!
I bring over 30 years of post-graduate experience in both mental health and substance use treatment to my work as a therapist. Throughout my career, I have worked in a wide range of clinical settings including Duke University Hospital’s Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, serving as Director of a residential substance use treatment facility, and working as a licensed clinician in a state psychiatric hospital.
These diverse experiences have given me a deep understanding of the many forms human distress can take and, a deep and nuanced understanding of mental health treatment and recovery. I’ve supported individuals navigating anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, OCD, substance use, and major life transitions. My work is informed by decades of practice, science, and real human connection.
Above all, I see therapy as a collaborative process: you bring your lived experience, and I bring clinical expertise and a compassionate perspective. Together, we work to bring greater clarity, relief, and growth.
