Great to meet you!

After graduating from Seattle University with dual degrees in Psychology and Spanish, I was drawn to continuing my life experiences abroad as well as engaging with my dedication to service and joined the Peace Corps. This took me to Thailand for several years, where my experience was rich with learning language and culture and integrating into the community. Upon returning to the U.S. I attended graduate school at Antioch University where I earned a degree in child, couple, and family therapy.

For the first 10 years of my career, I worked primarily in social services, following my heart and passions to work in more grassroots settings. For the past 10 years, I have mostly been in private practice, working with adults individually, and couples, to support them in their lives.

My approach to therapy

Therapy to me is a process of discovery and rediscovery, reworking patterns of behavior, or beginning to change thoughts or beliefs that are no longer relevant or useful for our current self and life. My role in your process lies around engaging in thoughtful discovery, working through challenges and resistance that comes inherently with the onset of change.

What you can expect from me

As our lives evolve, we inevitably come into times of conflict and challenge, whether that be mental, emotional, physical, or relationship. My own belief is that we hold the ability, strength, and power to move successfully through life. My therapeutic beliefs provide a framework to guide our work together.
