Great to meet you!

After years of working in other fields I graduated from the University of Chicago School of Social Work. I have been working in community mental health for the past few years and treat individuals dealing primarily serious mental health diagnoses such as major depression, bipolar, and schizophrenia. Additionally I have experience treating mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, substance use, and stress

My personal journey includes struggles of mental health, academic and career difficulties, neurodivergence, sexuality, gender identity, relationship strife. I identify as queer, bipolar, and non-monogamous and I am kink and polyamory friendly

My approach to therapy

Therapy to me is a collaboration. I believe in the power of an honest, curious, and empathetic space of healing. I do not believe that a diagnosis makes a person and find that healing and recovery is not a straight line but a process of self discovery.

In my work, I like to use CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing. Ultimately, I use different therapy styles as tools rather than end-all-be-all solutions.

What you can expect from me

We will review your history and experience with therapy. From that we will develop collaboratively an understanding of your strengths and focus areas for our sessions and begin to build the framework for goals and timelines.
