Great to meet you!

After retiring from the US Navy, I found my true calling in working with people who are committed to making a meaningful impact. For over 37 years, I’ve shared my life with my spouse and children, building a partnership rooted in communication, possibility, and growth.

My journey has taken me across the globe, living overseas and immersing myself in diverse cultures. Scotland holds a special place in my heart—I spent five years there, and its spirit continues to inspire me.

I am deeply passionate about transformational thinking. My work centers on helping individuals shift long-held beliefs and patterns, empowering them to achieve what truly matters to them. I believe that we are never stuck with the person we have become; every day offers a new choice and a new opportunity for change.

Counseling is my passion because I know that transformation is possible for everyone. We all have the power to choose our path, and I am honored to walk alongside those who are ready to embrace their greatness.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered. I believe firmly in your right to self-determination and in the healing power of feeling safe, seen, and supported. I help clients understand how their past experiences shape their present, and together we work to build resilience, emotional balance, and healthier patterns.

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment styles, Somatics, and Integrated Family Systems (IFS). These approach helps clients reduce the emotional charge of painful memories, process trauma safely, and move forward with greater internal steadiness and confidence.

What you can expect from me

I’m a trauma-informed therapist trained in EMDR, with experience working with childhood trauma, first responder and veteran trauma, and long-term stress exposure. I pay close attention to how past experiences continue to show up in the present—often through the nervous system, emotional reactions, or patterns in relationships.

I approach therapy in a way that’s paced, collaborative, and practical. We focus on understanding what has helped you survive, what may be keeping you stuck, and how to create change that feels realistic and sustainable.
