Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Chris and I am so excited to be working with you. I bring extensive experience in social work, having worked with a wide range of populations across different settings. Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. My work has included helping people from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and life backgrounds, which has shaped my ability to meet each client with empathy, respect, and cultural awareness.

I believe that every person’s story is unique, and I approach therapy with curiosity and compassion. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself, while also gently challenging you to grow in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in both insight and practical change. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method—our work will be tailored to your unique experiences, goals, and pace.

At the core of my style is creating a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, honesty, and consistency. I aim to provide a space where you feel safe to be open, while also feeling supported enough to explore difficult emotions or experiences that may have been avoided or overwhelming in the past.

I integrate elements from evidence-based practices, focusing on helping you understand the “why” behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also equipping you with tools to manage them more effectively.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. It’s normal to feel a mix of emotions—curiosity, nerves, or even uncertainty—and all of that is welcome here.

We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with—there’s no pressure to tell your whole story right away. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help guide the conversation in a way that feels supportive and manageable.

I’ll also ask some background questions to better understand your history, current challenges, and any patterns that may be impacting your well-being. This helps me get a clearer picture of how to best support you.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and what meaningful progress might look like for you. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and make sure you feel comfortable with the process moving forward.

Most importantly, the first session is about creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and heard. By the end of our time, you should have a better sense of what working together will feel like and how therapy can support you.
