Great to meet you!

Chris Blum is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked in mental health since 2010. Over the years, he has supported teens, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of settings including community mental health, residential treatment, crisis work, domestic violence services, and private practice.

Chris is known for being honest, approachable, and easy to talk to. His style is direct but compassionate, helping clients feel comfortable enough to be real without feeling judged. He especially enjoys working with teens, athletes, relationship issues, anxiety, life transitions, and clients who feel stuck or overwhelmed.

His goal is to create a space where clients can feel understood, challenged in healthy ways, and supported while building the life they actually want.

My approach to therapy

Chris takes a collaborative and down-to-earth approach to therapy. He believes therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being honest, challenged when needed, and supported without judgment. His style is warm, direct, and practical, helping clients better understand patterns, improve communication, regulate emotions, and move toward meaningful change.

Chris draws from CBT, attachment-focused work, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed approaches while tailoring sessions to each individual client’s needs and personality. He values authenticity in the therapy room and believes growth happens through trust, consistency, insight, and actionable steps not just talking about problems.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a relaxed, supportive, and judgment-free environment during their first session with Chris. The initial session is focused on getting to know the client as a person not just the problems that brought them to therapy. Chris works to understand each client’s background, current stressors, relationships, goals, and what they hope to get out of therapy moving forward.

Clients often leave the first session feeling more comfortable, understood, and hopeful about the process. Chris aims to create a space where people can be honest, feel heard, and begin building practical tools for real-life change.
