Howdy! I'm a Licensed Professaional Counselor Supervisor and have over 15 years of experience working with kids, teens and young adults. I focus on working with clients suffering from traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, ADHD and behavioral issues. I have worked in many different settings serving families in the Houston area.
I mainly utilize Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavorial Therapy. I have enjoyed creating a safe and inviting space for young children to young adults, where they can explore themselves and begin to heal. I also enjoy working with the parents and caregivers to ensure that everyone is gaining skills to thrive.
Play Therapy can be a different process when compared to traditional talk therapy. While every client will learn about themselves and build skills in expressing their thoughts and emotions, it will look different for everyone. I hope that each session, my clients feel accepted, heard and lighter as they leave my office. Even when the tough work of therapy is done, the hope is that the healing continues as the clients build positive relationships around them.
