Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Chris Brace (he/him), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and LGBTQ+ affirming couples therapist based in Las Vegas, NV. I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — an evidence-based approach that helps partners break out of painful patterns, heal from disconnection, and reconnect in deeper, more secure ways.

I support couples and individuals navigating conflict, communication struggles, infidelity, emotional distance, premarital questions, and relationship ambivalence. My practice is especially attuned to the needs of queer, neurodiverse, and nontraditional relationships (including CNM and polyamorous partners). I strive to create a warm, inclusive, and judgment-free space where all identities and emotions are welcome.

For couples in crisis or those wanting to deepen their connection quickly, I also offer 2–3 day EFT Couples Intensives — an immersive, premium service outside of insurance designed to accelerate progress in just a weekend. I balance this with making weekly therapy available through Cigna and Aetna (via Headway), so couples can choose between a traditional path and a concentrated, cash-pay option.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and I have advanced training in EFT. I’m also invited annually as a facilitator for national EFT trainings on LGBTQ+ inclusivity, where I help other clinicians build affirming skills.

If you’re ready to get unstuck and reconnect, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You can book a free consult or schedule with your Cigna or Aetna insurance via Headway.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and emotionally focused. I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), grounded in attachment science. We slow things down, map the patterns that pull you apart, access the softer emotions underneath reactivity, and practice new ways of reaching and responding so connection feels safer again.

With couples, that looks like de-escalating conflict, repairing hurts, and—when you’re ready—creating bonding conversations that rebuild trust. With individuals, we clarify attachment patterns, strengthen self-compassion, and build practical boundaries and communication skills.

Expect a structured, supportive pace: clear goals, gentle coaching, and take-home tools you can use between sessions. My work is LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-aware, neurodiversity-affirming, and welcoming of nontraditional relationships (including CNM/poly). Therapy should feel like a safe place to be honest about the hard stuff, and I’ll walk with you while we make changes that last.

For couples who want faster progress, I also offer optional 2–3 day EFT Couples Intensives as a separate, immersive format.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll slow down and get a clear picture of what’s bringing you in. For couples, that often means mapping your communication patterns and exploring what each of you needs most in the relationship. For individuals, we’ll focus on your history, current stressors, and the goals you want to move toward.

I’ll ask questions, listen closely, and start identifying themes we can work on together. You’ll also have space to share what’s most urgent so we can begin addressing it right away.

If you’re using Cigna or Aetna, your first session doubles as an intake and assessment—a chance to understand your background, set treatment goals, and make sure therapy feels like the right fit. From there, we’ll decide whether weekly therapy or, for couples, a possible future intensive, is the best next step.

You can expect clear guidance, a judgment-free space, and a collaborative plan for moving forward.
