Great to meet you!

I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. With more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of challenges. I earned my Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Pittsburg State University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor II.

Throughout my career, I have worked in juvenile and adult justice systems, drug courts, schools, and community behavioral health settings. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of the many factors that influence emotional well-being and personal growth. I work with concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, anger management, substance use, relationship challenges, and adolescent behavioral issues. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns and building a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy, recognizing that emotional, physical, relational, and environmental factors all play a role in overall well-being. I believe therapy works best when it is tailored to each individual's unique strengths, goals, and experiences.

My style is compassionate, practical, and solution-focused while also taking time to understand the deeper patterns that may be contributing to current challenges. Together, we will identify obstacles, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen resilience, and create realistic strategies that promote lasting change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship concerns, or major life transitions, I strive to provide guidance, encouragement, and evidence-based support throughout the process.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what has brought you to therapy, explore your personal history, identify your strengths, and talk about the goals you hope to achieve.

There is no pressure to share everything at once. My priority is creating a welcoming, respectful space where you can move at a pace that feels comfortable. By the end of the session, we'll have a better understanding of your needs and begin developing a personalized treatment plan that supports your path toward healing, growth, and lasting positive change.
