My therapy style is warm and interactive and always with a touch of humor. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I also believe directness to show respect for your intelligence and time.
My approach combines
- Cognitive-behavioral – Challenging irrational thoughts and feelings,
- Experiential – Adlerlian involving belonging, social and community linkages,involving cognition, physical movement, social interaction, emotional awareness, consciousness-raising discussions, and self-reflection
- Psychodynamic (explore how reactions to present-day circumstances may be influenced by past events) and
- REBTRational-emotive behavioral therapy, A. Something happens. B. You have a belief about the situation. C. You have an emotional reaction to the belief.
- Reality therapy “here and now” focus on choice, responsibility, commitment, and willingness to change.
