Great to meet you!

My core belief is simple: I believe in you and your ability to become the healthiest, most fulfilled version of yourself. Life often makes it hard to see that potential, let alone know how to get there. My role is to be your guide and ally on that journey.

My path to becoming a clinician has been intentional. Beyond my master's degree in counseling and advanced post-master's training, my work in non-profit and community mental health has given me a breadth of experience with people from all walks of life. This doesn't mean "I've seen it all," but it does mean that I'm prepared to meet you where you are, without judgment. No matter what you're going through, if you are ready to take a step, so am I.

Look, nothing gets better if we don't find a way to face it safely. That's why therapy takes courage. It took courage just to get this far, and you already deserve credit for that. When you're ready for that first, brave step of reaching out, I'll be here, ready to loan you some of my hope until you can hold it for yourself.

My approach to therapy

The foundation of all successful therapy is a strong, trusting relationship. As therapist Irvin Yalom famously said, "It's the relationship that heals." My entire approach is built on that truth.

Our Foundation: Person-Centered & Strengths-Based I build our therapeutic alliance by being genuine, empathetic, and always remembering that you are the expert on your own life. We will work collaboratively, drawing on your inherent strengths and values as the framework for everything we do.

Our Therapeutic Toolkit With that foundation in place, we can effectively use powerful, evidence-based practices tailored to your needs. My primary approach is a layered one:

  • Solution-Focused Strategies: We start here to identify your strengths and create momentum. This approach helps you see progress and feel relief quickly.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): For deeper or ongoing challenges, ACT provides powerful tools to handle difficult thoughts and feelings, connect with your values, and commit to building a rich, meaningful life.
  • Logotherapy & Existential Therapy: When you're wrestling with life's big questions, these approaches help us explore and build a strong sense of purpose and meaning.

A Creative Path: Therapeutically Applied Tabletop Roleplaying Games

For clients who are interested, I offer a unique and engaging form of narrative therapy using tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons or Kids on Bikes. These experiential sessions are a powerful way to work on:

  • Social Anxiety & Interpersonal Skills
  • Confidence & Self-Esteem
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Problem-Solving & Creativity
  • Skills for Neurodivergent clients (ADHD, etc.)

What you can expect from me

You can expect our sessions to be focused, collaborative, and always centered on your goals. Our process will feel clear and empowering.

In our work together, you will:

  • Gain Clarity: We will clearly define the challenges getting in your way and, more importantly, create a vivid picture of what "better" looks and feels like for you. This vision becomes our roadmap.
  • Build a Toolkit of Skills: You won't just talk about problems; you will leave with practical, evidence-based skills to manage difficult thoughts, regulate emotions, and take effective action in your daily life.
  • See Measurable Progress: We will periodically use assessments and check-ins to track your progress. This ensures our approach is working and allows us to adjust our plan when needed, so our time is always spent effectively.

Ultimately, you can expect to leave our sessions not only with relief from your symptoms, but with a stronger sense of self, a greater capacity for resilience, and a clearer connection to what makes your life meaningful.

My commitment is to you and your process. If something is important to you, it matters in our room—because everything about you matters.
