Great to meet you!

I believe some of the strongest people are the ones carrying burdens that nobody else can see.

As an Army veteran, husband, father, and therapist, I understand that life can ask a lot of us. Many of the people I work with have spent years being the dependable one, the problem solver, or the person everyone else leans on. From the outside, they may appear to be doing fine. On the inside, they are exhausted, overwhelmed, or struggling to make sense of experiences that continue to affect them long after they happened.

My role is not to tell you how to live your life. It is to help you better understand yourself, identify what is getting in the way, and build practical tools for moving forward.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and EMDR-trained trauma therapist who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and personal growth. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and strive to create a space where clients feel respected, supported, and challenged in ways that promote meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and rooted in the belief that growth happens when insight is paired with action.

I work with clients to understand how past experiences, current stressors, relationships, and personal beliefs influence the way they navigate life today. Together, we identify patterns that are no longer serving you and develop realistic strategies for creating change.

I often integrate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches based on each client’s individual needs and goals.

While understanding the past can be important, therapy is not about staying stuck there. It is about helping you make sense of your experiences, strengthen resilience, improve relationships, and move toward the life you want to create.

My style tends to be active and engaging. You can expect honest conversations, practical feedback, and a supportive environment where we work together toward meaningful progress.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together.

We’ll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, the challenges you are currently facing, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, and goals while also giving you space to share what feels most important.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you arrive. Many clients come into therapy knowing something needs to change but feeling unsure where to begin. That’s completely okay.

My goal during our first meeting is to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you feel heard and understood while also beginning to identify a path forward. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of how I work, what therapy may look like moving forward, and the initial goals we can begin working toward together.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and our first session is simply the beginning of that journey.
