Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist offering effective relational psychotherapy to adults. I have extensive experience and education in the fields of psychology and spirituality. My area of specialty is treating patients who have experienced abuse, trauma, and pain connected to their religious and spiritual backgrounds. I work with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as relational conflict, emotional detachment, and general mental health concerns.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is heavily influenced by Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). I focused on helping to identify and counter the automatic ways you’ve learned to avoid painful feelings and experiences which keep you stuck and suffering. By helping you connect to buried emotions and experiences, rather than avoid them, you can reunite to the embodied expression of these feelings, experience relief, build deeper intimacy with others, and gain peace within yourself.

What you can expect from our first session

During your first session, we will set the course for therapy by focusing on the problems that bring you to treatment. We will get a clear understanding of your difficulties and establish a strong working relationship in order to help you achieve your goals. The first session is also a time to determine whether I am a good fit for you. Either way, my hope is for you to leave feeling understood and supported regardless of who you choose to work with.
