Great to meet you!

I’m Christopher Lewis, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in counseling & development and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. My background includes crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy, as well as supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, grief, and major life transitions.

I understand that people can appear strong and capable while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what to do next. My goal is to provide a space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing, better understand yourself, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, practical, and free of judgment. Therapy is something we do together, not something that is done to you. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build healthier coping and communication skills, and explore realistic changes that fit your life. I will support and validate you while also gently challenging you when it may help you grow.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether I am the right therapist for you. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, what has been affecting you, what you have already tried, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together.

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out or share more than you are ready to share. I aim to create a relaxed, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you can show up as yourself. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying your goals and discussing a personalized plan for moving forward.
