Great to meet you!

I know how hard it is to start therapy and the hesitation you may have to talk about your personal struggles with someone you don't know. But I believe, in life, we all need guides to help navigate the chaos and while we love the people closest to us, they have their limitations in how they can support. Growing up as a Hispanic man and struggling to balance identity and culture, I realized how we must unlearn many beliefs and practices to end a cycle of suffering. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado with a masters in Psychology that focused on trauma and cultural factors. In my professional career, I have worked with teens, adults, and families from a variety of backgrounds to improve communication skills, better manage anxiety, and practice coping skills to reduce depression.

My approach to therapy

I use a combination of CBT, ACT, and DBT interventions to address difficult thoughts or emotions and tailor practices to what fits you best. In our first session, we'll explore a brief life/ family history to better understand what informed your current patterns. By strengthening self-awareness and personal responsibility, you will build the capacity to choose healthier ways of living.

What you can expect from me

I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, drug abuse, and low self-worth. These difficulties are normal due to the chaos that life can bring with family and relationship issues. In our sessions, we can practice finding the humor in life's struggles while making space for the toll it can take on us. I can be your guide to learn how to balance the things we can and can't control. We will explore alternate skills and create a plan to address these struggles to allow you to keep you moving forward and release the weight that has been keeping you feeling stuck.
