Great to meet you!

Hello there! My name is Chris Poe and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). The majority of my time has been spent helping veterans and their families manage and reduce symptoms associated with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), to include anxiety, substance abuse depression , and marital/family struggles., thereby increasing their quality of life. I have been doing this for approximately 10 years.

My approach to therapy

I am laid back, but not afraid to call someone out. I operate from a humanistic perspective. I am also big on meaning, purpose and direction, short and long term goals and how to achieve them. I am certified in cognitive processing therapy and EMDRIA certified in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

What you can expect from me

During the initial session, the goal will be getting you comfortable with not only the virtual environment, but with me as well. I believe developing a strong therapeutic relationship is mandatory for good goal oriented counseling. We will get to know one another and talk about what brought you to counseling. I look forward to our first session.
