Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and certified professional executive and leadership coach with over 30 years of experience supporting adults and teens through some of life's most meaningful and challenging moments. My clinical work spans life transitions, identity and self-esteem, relationships and communication, LGBTQ+ affirming care, and workplace challenges including burnout, career pivots, and professional stress.

I hold advanced training in positive psychology, which shapes how I think about growth, resilience, and what it truly means to flourish — not just cope. Beyond my clinical background, my coaching expertise allows me to bring a uniquely integrated lens to our work together, supporting clients not only in understanding themselves more deeply, but in moving forward with clarity and intention. I am committed to creating a space where every client feels genuinely seen, respected, and supported.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply rooted in respect for who you are and who you are becoming. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Humanistic and Person-Centered frameworks, weaving these together in ways that are responsive to each client's unique needs, goals, and pace.

Positive psychology is a through-line in my work; I am as attentive to your strengths, values, and sources of meaning as I am to the challenges that brought you to therapy. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you — offering tools, perspective, and honest reflection rather than prescribe a one-size-fits-all path. I want our sessions to feel more like a thoughtful conversation than an evaluation, and there is always room for curiosity, humor, and humanity in the process.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is primarily about connection — I want you to leave feeling heard and seen, not assessed. We will spend time exploring what brought you to therapy, what matters most to you right now, and what you are hoping life might look like on the other side of this work. I will share a bit about how I work and invite you to ask any questions you have, because the fit between therapist and client genuinely matters and I want you to feel confident in your decision.

Together we will begin to identify some initial goals, though I hold those lightly — the first session often reveals that what we came in with is just the beginning of a richer conversation. Most importantly, I want you to walk away from that first hour feeling that this is a safe, affirming space where your full self is welcome.
