Christopher Sales

I'm a positive and change-focused Licensed Professional Counselor. I've been licensed since 2005 and in the field since 1989. I excel at connecting with people struggling with behaviors, emotions, thoughts, and with their own families. I am particularly skilled at reaching adolescents and supporting them through difficult times. Focused on growth and development, my interventions motivate individuals, families and groups to break out of maladaptive patterns and realize their full potential.

When working with either individuals or families, my theoretical orientation is Family Systems-based. My style is interpersonal, and solution focused. My goal is not to just help someone through a difficult time, but for them to learn how carry the tools learned in session into their lives and be able to thrive on their own. I focus on the challenges people are facing within the context of their developmental stage, ability and role in their family.

Expect strategies that are effective for you. Expect to be empathically challenged to understand the reasons for your difficulty as well as the logic behind our approach to alleviating your pain. Expect a reduction in the frequency, duration and intensity of your challenges.
