Great to meet you!

As a licensed professional counselor, I love nothing more than meeting people where they are and helping them learn how to navigate the tricky landscape of emotions. Before becoming a counselor, I was an educator for 15 years, and I still love working with youth ages 10 and up. Additionally, I enjoy working with my LGBTQIA+ community and providing support in multiple ways there.

My approach to therapy

Building rapport with my clients is my first priority! Using a warm, empathetic approach, I want you to feel heard and validated. While I definitely use research-based therapeutic techniques, I also love finding mental health nuggets "in the wild", so we might discuss things from books, movies, and TV shows as well!

What you can expect from me

We will always start with an intake session, where we will identify what issue has brought you to counseling and start making a plan together to address it. I like to share coping skills right in the beginning to help make life more bearable. My hope is that you leave each session feeling that you have been heard and that you have a few more tools in your pocket to help you handle life.
