Great to meet you!

I’m Chris, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in Wisconsin. I work primarily with people who spend their lives taking care of everyone else – nurses, health workers, and other overwhelmed adults who feel burned out, anxious, depressed, or stuck.

I practice via telehealth for adults across Wisconsin. My style is down-to-earth, non-shaming, and collaborative. I’m comfortable talking about hard things, including suicidal thoughts, work trauma, and past hospitalizations.

You don’t need to have everything “figured out” before we meet. If you’re not sure what you need, we can sort that out together and decide on next steps at a pace that feels manageable.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I won’t just write a prescription and disappear, and I won’t pressure you into medications you’re not comfortable with.

We’ll look at the full picture: your symptoms, work and life stressors, sleep, past treatment, and what has or hasn’t helped before. When we talk about medication, I’ll explain why I’m considering something, what we expect it to do, and what side effects to watch for in plain language.

I see treatment as a partnership. You bring your lived experience; I bring clinical training and expertise with psych meds. Together we make a plan that fits your values, your nervous system, and your real life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I’ll ask what brought you here now, what your days actually feel like, and what you hope will be different. We’ll review your mental health history, medical conditions, past medications, and any safety concerns (including suicidal thoughts or self-harm), at a pace that feels doable.

You don’t have to tell your whole life story in one sitting. My goal is for you to leave that first appointment with:

– A clearer understanding of what may be going on

– Initial ideas for treatment options (meds, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination)

– A sense that you were listened to and taken seriously

We’ll then decide together on next steps and schedule follow-up so you’re not left hanging.
