Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Christy Cole, and I’m glad you’re here. I believe one of the most important parts of therapy is having a therapist you feel comfortable talking to—someone who listens, understands, and creates a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment.

My style is warm, down-to-earth, supportive, and honest. I recognize that life can get complicated, and sometimes you need a space to sort through everything without feeling like you have to have all the answers. I meet clients where they are while helping them gain insight, recognize their strengths, and identify practical ways to move forward.

I especially enjoy supporting people through life transitions and those seasons when things may feel uncertain, overwhelming, or simply different from what you expected. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationships, family concerns, work or school stress, grief and loss, or feeling stuck, we can work through it together.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Come as you are, and we’ll start from there.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client centered. I believe therapy should be tailored to you—your experiences, needs, strengths, and goals—rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I incorporate evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused strategies, mindfulness, and other therapeutic approaches based on your individual needs. Our work may include identifying patterns that contribute to anxiety or emotional distress, developing healthier coping strategies, improving communication and relationships, strengthening boundaries, and learning practical ways to manage difficult emotions and life transitions.

I strive to balance support with practical guidance, helping you gain insight while also developing tools you can use outside of therapy. Together, we will work toward meaningful changes that help you feel more confident, emotionally resilient, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin exploring what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about the challenges you’re currently experiencing, what you hope to gain from therapy, and any goals you may have for yourself. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will begin identifying your needs, strengths, and areas you would like to work on while developing a personalized approach to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and support.
