Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Christy! I help teens and adults break free from anxiety, trauma, and depression in a warm, nonjudgmental space. We’ll build coping skills that work, find ways to release what’s holding you back, while creating lasting change with your strengths at the center. I offer a calm, engaged presence in sessions, creating space for honesty, compassion, and meaningful conversations. I've worked with many people who share they initially felt really nervous to start therapy, but leave feeling surprisingly at ease and ready to talk about real stuff.

I specialize in Brainspotting and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)—both trauma-focused approaches—to help clients process traumatic experiences and reduce anxiety in a structured, supportive way. Sessions are collaborative and paced carefully, especially for teens and individuals who may feel hesitant about starting therapy.

I believe growth happens when people feel genuinely heard and supported. Therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong” with you, but about understanding what you’ve been through and helping you reconnect with your strengths. If you are ready to begin this process, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Sacramento State University. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a receptionist and TMS technician in a psychiatry office, where I saw first hand the impact that compassionate, effective mental health care can have. That experience solidified my desire to be part of people’s healing journeys and to support individuals as they move toward greater stability, insight, and well-being.

My approach to therapy

I bring a warm, open-minded, and collaborative presence to therapy. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them—offering support, curiosity, and tools that help foster safety, understanding, and change. I utilize CBT, CPT, DBT, Brainspotting, and Psychodynamic approaches for therapy.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive space where we focus on getting to know one another. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping to get out of our work together, and any concerns or questions you may have about the therapy process.

I’ll also gather some background information to better understand your experiences, while being mindful not to push into anything that feels overwhelming. There is no pressure to share everything at once—therapy moves at your pace. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and discussing what approaches may be most helpful for you.
