Great to meet you!

Hi there! I have worked in a clinical environment since 2001 and decided to return to school for a second masters in 2017 to become licensed. I possess undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology; Master’s degrees in Social Science and Clinical Social work; as well as a PhD in Urban Studies. I am the clinic director for an agency and enjoy the balance between administrative work, training clinicians, and working directly with clients.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I enjoy assisting my clients with meeting their treatment goals. My style and approach are primarily client-centered and solution focused. Using this model I include cognitive behavioral (CBT) practices. Also, I integrate mindfulness and somatic practices.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect therapy with myself to be a safe-place where they can freely share and express what they need to process. I ask clients to prepare at least one thing to cover during sessions. There are times I collaborate with clients to identify activities as homework to utilize between sessions to support progress. My goal is that those who work with me leave every session with at least one takeaway.
