Great to meet you!

Cindi Grace, MS, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 30 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges. Since beginning her career in 1988, she has been dedicated to fostering healthier relationships and supporting emotional well-being through compassionate, individualized care.

Cindi has extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, high-functioning autism, attention-deficit disorder (ADD), and concerns related to sexual orientation and identity. She understands that every individual and family has unique strengths and challenges, and she tailors treatment to meet each client's specific needs.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri Southern State University and a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Missouri State University. Cindi's background in education, combined with decades of clinical experience, allows her to provide practical guidance, evidence-based support, and a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Her goal is to help clients develop the skills and confidence needed to build stronger relationships, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting positive change.

My approach to therapy

Cindi believes that effective therapy begins with a trusting, collaborative relationship. She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Her approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual's goals, recognizing that no two clients or families are alike.

Drawing on decades of experience, Cindi integrates evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients develop practical coping skills, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. She works collaboratively with children, adolescents, adults, and families to identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and promote emotional resilience.

Cindi has particular expertise in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, high-functioning autism, attention-deficit disorder (ADD), dual diagnoses, and concerns related to identity and family relationships. She is committed to creating an atmosphere of acceptance where clients can safely explore difficult topics while building the tools needed for lasting growth and emotional wellness.

What you can expect from me

The first session with Cindi is designed to help clients feel comfortable, supported, and understood. She takes time to get to know each client by learning about their concerns, personal history, strengths, relationships, and goals for therapy. Whether working with an individual, child, or family, Cindi creates a welcoming and judgment-free environment where clients can share at their own pace.

During the initial session, clients can expect a collaborative conversation focused on understanding what has brought them to counseling and identifying the challenges they would like to address. Cindi also helps clients recognize their existing strengths while discussing practical goals for treatment and outlining what they can expect throughout the therapeutic process.

Her goal is to ensure that every client leaves the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, with a clear understanding of how therapy can help them build healthier relationships, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
