Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Cindy and I would love to meet you and help you in your desire to feel better. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and have been helping individuals, couples and families for 15+ years. I know taking the step of seeking counseling can be scary and intimidating. I understand that and tell my clients they are the bravest people I know. It takes a lot of courage to share your heart and secrets with a perfect stranger. Life can be hard and difficult to manage at times but also beautiful and rewarding. I would like to help empower you to live your best life. Having an open spirit and holistic approach I would be honored to help you work towards a better understanding and acceptance of what you have and are currently experiencing. Take the Step!

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe my clients are the experts of their lives. I try to make the counseling session a safe place for you to share what is on your heart and mind and what needs to be explored in an atmosphere of acceptance and non judgementment. Always hoping to better the future and discover the issues that are bothersome, we often have to sometimes look to the past and how it has potentially affected one's present day life. Counseling involves learning new ways of thinking and processing how our thinking affects our emotions and behaviors. It takes practice and intentionality to make the changes desired. It is possible! By learning coping skills and new ways of thinking you can make the changes you desire for a healthier and more satisfying life.

What you can expect from our first session

I seek to provide an environment of safety, kindness and warmth during each counseling session. What I hope for each of my clients by the end of a session is that they can leave feeling they have been heard and encouraged. I would hope that each client has been more fully equipped with tools to help them process and cope with what they are presently dealing with. Also hoping that they feel they are carrying a lighter load and that they have an ally working with them to discover a healthier version of themself.
