Great to meet you!

I'm a Vietnamese Chinese American, born and raised in Long Beach, with a flair for San Francisco from my grad studies. My clinical career spans over 10 years with experience in both public and private communities. My specialities include depression, self sabotage, life transitions, anxiety, trauma, and relational issues. I'm inspired by helping people get out of their own ways. I am culturally sensitive and have worked with numerous 2nd gen Asian Americans since starting my practice as well.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I take an integrative approach that addresses the mind, body, and spirit connection. I believe symptoms not only show up in how we think and act, but affect the physical body as well. Some modalities include mindfulness, trauma-informed care, somatic, CBT, transpersonal, and cultural sensitivity. I empower you to dig beneath the surface and get to the root of the concerns. Ideally, you are willing to go beyond symptom management and are open to deeper introspection.

What you can expect from our first session

My goals are to help meet your personal intentions for therapy. Your intentions guides the sessions. I set an open minded, friendly, and curious tone. There will be room for levity, but also directness when sharing clinical insights. At times, your comfort zones will be challenged as you build awareness into some blindspots. We will move with care, transparency, accountability and grace for the complex human experience.
