Great to meet you!

You’re used to being the strong one, the person everyone depends on, the one who keeps going even when you’re overwhelmed. But lately, you may be exhausted, overthinking everything, questioning yourself, struggling in your relationships, or simply not feeling like yourself anymore.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, low self-esteem, family and cultural expectations, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are successful and capable on the outside but privately feel anxious, emotionally drained, stuck, or unsure about what comes next.

As a Caribbean-American therapist, I understand that culture, family expectations, identity, and generational experiences can shape how we view mental health and whether we feel comfortable asking for help. Therapy with me is warm, honest, practical, and collaborative. You won't just have a space to talk, we'll work together to understand patterns, build healthier coping skills, strengthen boundaries, and help you feel more confident in yourself and your decisions.

You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can figure it out together.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is conversational, supportive, and honest. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself without worrying about saying the “right” thing or being judged.

We'll look at the patterns underneath what you're experiencing, not just the symptoms. That may include exploring how past relationships, family experiences, cultural expectations, negative thinking patterns, or the pressure to always be strong are affecting you today.

I use approaches such as CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based interventions to help you better understand yourself while also developing practical tools you can use outside of therapy.

I won't tell you how to live your life. Instead, I'll help you slow things down, recognize patterns, challenge thoughts that are keeping you stuck, strengthen your boundaries, and make decisions that feel more aligned with who you are and what you want.

What you can expect from me

You can expect me to show up as a real person, not just someone sitting across the screen taking notes. I'll listen, ask questions, help you make connections, gently challenge you when needed, and celebrate your progress with you.

Our first session will focus on understanding what brought you to therapy, what's happening in your life now, and what you would like to change. You don't have to tell your entire life story in one appointment. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable while developing goals together.

Over time, my hope is that you begin to understand yourself more clearly, feel more confident in your decisions, communicate your needs and boundaries more effectively, and leave therapy with tools you can actually use in your everyday life.
