Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Cindy and I want you to know this: you don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply tired of carrying it all, therapy can be a space to exhale, reflect, and gently begin again.

I come to this work not only as a clinician but as a human being shaped by my own lived experience. I’m a proud Trinidadian-American who migrated to the U.S. at a young age, and I know what it’s like to navigate different worlds, expectations, and identities. That background helps me show up with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and deep respect for the unique path each client walks.

I’m currently pursuing my Doctorate in Social Work at Simmons University, and my clinical experience has focused on supporting adults through anxiety, trauma, life transitions, burnout, and issues related to identity and belonging. I have a special heart for clients who are used to being the strong ones, the caregivers, the first-gen trailblazers, the ones who hold space for everyone else.

In our work together, you can expect warmth, honesty, and collaboration. I use a relational and strengths-based approach, integrating tools from CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, but more importantly, I meet you where you are, honoring your pace and your story.

This is your space to feel seen, to feel safe, and to explore what healing could look like for you. If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that healing happens in relationship with ourselves, with others, and within safe, supportive spaces.

I draw from a mix of evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, while staying deeply attuned to your lived experience and personal story. I also work from a culturally responsive and strengths-based perspective, honoring the ways your background, identity, and environment shape your journey.

Therapy with me isn’t about giving advice or quick fixes. It’s about building a space where you feel truly seen, where we can explore what’s working, what’s weighing you down, and how you want to grow. I see us as partners in the process you bring your expertise on your life, and I bring tools, insight, and a steady presence to support you.

Whether you’re facing anxiety, trauma, burnout, or just feeling lost in the noise of life, my goal is to help you reconnect with your inner strength, find clarity, and move forward with greater self-awareness and ease.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and not rushed. We’ll take time to get to know each other you’ll share what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and anything you think is important for me to understand about your story.

I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and goals, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. You set the pace, and I’ll follow your lead.

This first session is also a chance for you to get a feel for what it’s like to work with me. I’ll explain a bit about how I approach therapy, answer any questions you have, and we’ll talk about what moving forward might look like whether that’s setting some goals or simply creating space to explore and process.

Above all, I want you to leave that first session feeling a little more grounded, a little more hopeful, and a little less alone.
