Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Cindy Nguyen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I believe therapy works best when it feels like a warm, supportive conversation rather than a rigid clinical interrogation. My approach is deeply person-centered and humanistic, meaning you are always the expert on your own life. Clients often describe my energy as bubbly, friendly, and highly personable, and I make it a priority to bring my authentic self into every session. I strive to create an entirely open-minded, deeply validating, and empathetic space where your feelings are always heard and respected. While I am fiercely committed to your healing, I’m also silly, funny, and love using humor to bring a little light to the heavy stuff when appropriate. If you are looking for a collaborative, compassionate, and uplifting environment to grow, I would be absolutely honored to connect with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, collaborative, and entirely tailored to you. I practice from a person-centered and humanistic lens, which means I view you as the ultimate expert on your own life. I firmly believe in meeting you exactly where you are at and moving at your unique pace, there is no forced timeline here.

In our work together, I integrate evidence-based tools to help you reach your goals while keeping the process grounded and practical. I utilize solution-focused therapy to help you uncover active steps forward, motivational interviewing to help you navigate change and find your inner drive, and mindfulness techniques to ground you in the present moment. Ultimately, my goal is to blend these intentional strategies with a warm, open-minded space so you feel entirely supported as we navigate your journey together.

What you can expect from me

From your very first session, you can expect a very chill, easygoing, and completely pressure-free environment. Starting therapy can feel daunting, so my main goal for our first meeting is simply to build a comfortable foundation. There is no rigid interrogation or standard checklist; instead, it will feel like a warm, personable, and friendly conversation where we can start getting to know each other.

Because my approach is gentle and passive, you never have to worry about being forced to dive into the heavy stuff right away. We will move entirely at your pace. You will be met with kindness, warmth, and an open mind, giving you a safe, welcoming space to share whatever you feel ready to share.
