Great to meet you!

I provide compassionate, patient-centered mental health care to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

I believe that healing begins with being heard. I truly enjoy listening to my patients and understanding their unique stories, challenges, and goals. My approach is rooted in respect, empathy, and collaboration. Together, we create a treatment plan that aligns with your needs, values, and lifestyle.

My Approach to Care

I am passionate about patient-centered care, which means:

  • You are an active partner in your treatment.
  • Your concerns, preferences, and goals guide our decisions.
  • Care is individualized—not “one size fits all.”
  • We focus on your overall well-being, not just symptoms.

I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing openly and honestly.

One of my favorite sayings: “I will see you on your worst day and I will see you on your best day in your mental health journey.”

My approach to therapy

Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation designed to fully understand what you’re experiencing and how best to support you.

During this session, we will:

  • Review your current symptoms, including mood, anxiety, sleep, appetite, and intrusive thoughts
  • Discuss your pregnancy and/or postpartum experience
  • Explore medical history, mental health history, and prior treatment responses
  • Complete validated screening tools when appropriate
  • Identify your goals for treatment

This is also your time to share your story. There is no pressure to have the “right words.” I will guide the conversation with thoughtful, structured questions while creating space for you to speak openly.

At the end of the session, we will discuss an individualized treatment plan, which may include brief CBT-based strategies, lifestyle recommendations, and medication options when appropriate. Treatment decisions are collaborative, and you will leave with clarity about next steps.

Most importantly, you can expect a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you feel heard and supported from the very beginning.

What you can expect from me

We will review your current symptoms — including mood changes, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, sleep disruption, and emotional stressors — as well as your medical history, mental health history, pregnancy/postpartum course, and any prior treatment. I also use validated screening tools when appropriate to help guide diagnosis and treatment planning.

This session is collaborative and conversational. You don’t need to prepare anything formal — just come as you are. I will ask guided questions to ensure we cover the important areas while giving you space to share what feels most pressing.
