Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Cindy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Thriving Life Counseling. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without feeling judged or having to have everything figured out.

I work with adults who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves, even when everything looks fine on the outside. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, and major life transitions. I also work with people who are struggling with overthinking, people-pleasing, setting boundaries, or simply trying to figure out what comes next.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused and strengths-based approaches, and other techniques based on your individual needs. When desired, I also integrate faith-based principles into therapy, creating space to explore how your faith can provide hope, perspective, and purpose.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we’ll begin by exploring what has been going on in your life and what led you to seek therapy at this point. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant personal and mental health history, and the areas where you’d like to see change. We’ll also begin identifying your goals for therapy and discussing what support may be most helpful. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer understanding of what you’re experiencing and a direction for our work together. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in. We’ll work through it together.
