Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Cindy Brooks Streusand and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for 30 years. I have a BA in Psychology from UT at Austin and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from U of H. I am married with 3 children. I have experience with clients of all ages with a variety of struggles. In the virtual environment, I focus on clients who are verbal.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I meet the client where they are in that moment. I will, then, offer options of how we can proceed and tailor the structure of therapy to the client’s preferences and needs. I tend to be fairly direct and challenging, while maintaining a supportive and compassionate environment. I like to employ humor where appropriate and always end sessions with a plan.

What you can expect from our first session

I will help you realize that you have the answers you are looking for within you, already. You just need some tools to harness that knowledge and assistance in creating a plan to grow and develop. I also give homework when the client is open to it.
