Great to meet you!

I combine my real-world experience with specialized training in self-compassion and grief. I am Certified in Self Compassion in Psychotherapy and a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, trained by the Center for Mindful Self Compassion. I am a certified Grief Educator trained by David Kessler. Whether I am working with clients navigating life transitions or partnering with UA to support elite athletes, my goal is to help you meet your challenges with more kindness and resilience.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn't exactly traditional yet shapes how I connect with people. After earning my psychology degree from Johns Hopkins, I spent twenty years in the fashion industry focusing on leadership development and career mentoring. I then decided to return to my roots in psychology, earning my MSW from the University of Alabama to become an LICSW.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, I work from a compassionate, strengths-based perspective, collaborating with clients to explore, develop and reach their goals, while providing the support, tools and techniques needed to live life with grace and understanding. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and of all ages.

What you can expect from me

Our very first session is designed to help you feel comfortable, heard, and empowered from the very start. During our initial meeting, we will focus on building rapport, answer any questions you may have, and use this time to explore if my approach aligns with your needs and ensure we are a good professional match.
