Great to meet you!

I consider myself warm and considerate of the whole person; I am very present and mindful in session toward the client’s issues. I do like to assign homework but hope to collaborate with clients knowing that balance in this is necessary to make it beneficial.

My approach to therapy

Respect and fairness are two underpinnings carried through my work and my connection to others, and I hope to represent those values in my therapy practice as well as in the research I contribute to outside of my practice. I had considered a career in law but knew that I loved helping others, which drove me to this career path.

What you can expect from me

I always knew that I wanted to become a therapist but I wasn't clear on what that would look like. I had previously worked with LGB youth in Los Angeles and noticed many who also identified as transgender or gender-diverse. There was little systematic understanding of the health of these youth and noticing this drove me to relentlessly advocate for all LGBTQ+ youth.
