Great to meet you!

The truth is, no one heals in a vacuum. When you need someone in your corner to help you cope, therapy is a powerful tool that often has lasting positive affects far beyond the initial issue. Making the decision to seek support is an investment in bettering your future and all your future relationships. Whatever has brought you here--you don't have to go through it alone. If you're looking for someone who will help you go beyond the surface at a pace that feels right for you, we could be a great match.

My approach to therapy

If we're laughing and feeling relaxed, we're doing something right! Therapy can be really challenging but not every single session needs to feel like heavy work. My goal is to make sure you feel heard, understood, and respected during every session while also feeling safe enough to be truly honest. I'm there to listen to for those things that may be difficult to notice on your own. Together will identify what forward motion looks like for you. You are truly the one who does the work. My privilege is being there with you as you find your unique path.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is your chance to see if we "gel", to find out if you could imagine eventually opening up to me. I will never ask you to dig up past traumas or talk about hard stuff before you're ready. I will encourage you to be open and real with yourself. And I will also ask you to consider what you'd like to get out of our work together. If we decide to move forward, I will tailor our sessions to meet your specific goals and needs. I will never take it personally if you decide it's not a fit--in fact, I will encourage you to demand the best care for yourself, even if that's not with me.
