I hold Clinical Social Work license in NY state. I graduated from Adelphi University with an MSW in 2018 with a focus in Trauma. I have worked with client's who struggle with mental health diagnoses of generalized anxiety, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, schizophrenia and substance use disorders. Additionally, I have been able to assist clients with legal mandates including parole/probation requirements, CPS, DWI, anger management and DV.
I take a humanistic approach to therapy and include elements of CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing and strength based techniques. I believe that building rapport with clients is key to fostering trust and vulnerability. These, along with developing coping skills and identifying obstacles and challenges, can become the building blocks of the therapeutic relationship.
