Great to meet you!

I am a trauma-focused therapist with a passion for helping women, LGBTQ+ people, and survivors of all kinds regain their sense of confidence, connectedness, and freedom. Whether you're experiencing pain, loss, life transitions, or simply feeling "off," therapy can be a place where you can slow down, get in touch with yourself, and receive insight from a professional in a nonjudgmental space.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, issues of sexuality and identity, and the impacts of abuse & trauma. I strive to help people reconnect with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and activate the necessary change to build a life that is more authentic and grounded.

I believe every client is unique, and every person already possesses what they need to heal. I use the therapeutic relationship to activate clients' innate healing capacity, combined with an evidence-based treatment approach. My years working in community mental health taught me the importance of social context and structural issues in individual therapy. I believe that anti-oppressive therapists can create pockets of safety and healing despite the toll systemic inequities take on our spirits and bodies. As a queer clinician, I welcome queer & trans clients and affirm alternative, nontraditional relationship and family structures.

My approach to therapy

Together, we'll explore the experiences, relationships, and beliefs that have shaped your life. We'll identify the strengths you already possess and develop a practical plan that supports meaningful healing. I am an EMDRIA-trained, psychodynamic, person-centered therapist with a passion for helping my clients gain insight into the origins of their struggles so that they can finally start doing things differently. I believe therapy should help you better understand yourself while also helping you navigate life's challenges outside the session room, creating lasting change that extends far beyond the end of treatment. I have an eclectic approach to treatment that draws on Attachment Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strength-Based Therapy, and Feminist perspectives.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a therapist who is warm, compassionate, and willing to meet you exactly where you are while also gently challenging you toward growth when you're ready. I'll create a space where you can feel heard without judgment, celebrate meaningful progress, and navigate difficult moments with honesty and support. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you while building a deeper sense of confidence, self understanding, and resilience. My hope is that you leave each session feeling more connected to yourself and more hopeful about what's ahead.
