Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m glad you’re here.

If you’re looking for a therapist, there’s a good chance something in your life feels harder than it should be or maybe you’re grieving someone or something you’ve lost. Maybe anxiety interferes with your day or keeps you up at night. Maybe you’ve been through something difficult and you’re still trying to figure out how to move forward. Or maybe you can’t quite explain what’s wrong—you just feel...off.

Whatever brought you here, I’m ready to be by your side through your journey. You may not have the right words to say what you need, and that’s ok. We can start where you are. You’ve already taken that first step by reaching out.

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience helping people through difficult and sometimes incredibly painful chapters of their lives. I’ve worked with all ages, and with families. My areas of focus include grief and loss, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and performance anxiety.

My approach to therapy

I don’t believe therapy should feel like sitting across from someone who is analyzing you or telling you how to live your life. I’m there to listen, to hear you. I want us to explore what you feel, but also what your body is feeling. I may not have all the answers but I will be there to support you through your journey to healing. I’ll help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, mentally and physically. I may challenge you, but only if you are ready.

I will tailor therapy to the person sitting in front of me rather than trying to fit you into a particular formula. My education includes several modalities that guide me in how to help you, such as somatic therapy, internal family systems, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, polyvagal theory, solution focused brief therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy.

What you can expect from me

Your safety and security are my priority within a trauma-informed environment, and I want you to share with me what helps you feel safe and secure. In a therapy session, you should be able to finally exhale and be heard without judgment. Are there grounding or breathing techniques that already help you calm your nervous system? Do you want to learn more during our sessions? Your session is about you and your needs. Let's dive into those coping skills, explore your needs and unveil those strengths!
