Clara Peretz

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with experience treating individuals diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I also enjoy working with folks with experiences of psychosis, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and those navigating issues in interpersonal relationships. I received my BA in Sociology from Wesleyan University and MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin.

I use a relational psychodynamic, insight-oriented approach, which means that I attentively listen and help draw connections between your childhood experiences and your current patterns and beliefs. I work best with folks who are interested in deepening their emotional experience within the context of a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I incorporate mindfulness-based self-compassion into my work and am also trained in and utilize EMDR therapy for the treatment of PTSD symptoms.

Therapy with me looks like co-creating a non-judgmental and affirming space where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be explored. I believe in the healing power of relationships and emphasize trust and honesty within the therapeutic relationship.
