Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor and clinical supervisor with experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, substance use concerns, life transitions, and emotional struggles that can feel overwhelming at times. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and down-to-earth counseling space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

My professional background includes work in mental health counseling, substance use treatment, clinical supervision, and counselor education. I hold a doctoral degree in counseling-related education and have experience as both a therapist and adjunct professor. These roles have shaped the way I approach therapy: with compassion, practical tools, education, and a strong respect for each client’s unique story.

As a Christian therapist, I am comfortable incorporating faith, spirituality, biblical values, and prayer into counseling when clients desire that as part of their care. At the same time, I respect each client’s personal beliefs, background, and worldview. Faith integration is always client-led, never forced, and therapy is tailored to meet the goals and comfort level of the person in front of me.

I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, stress, substance use recovery, emotional regulation, and major life changes. My style is supportive, honest, practical, and collaborative. I believe therapy should help clients not only process what they have been through, but also build skills, insight, and confidence for moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based care. I draw from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches, focusing on real conversations, practical tools, and a pace that feels right for you.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported while also being gently challenged toward growth. Together, we will work to better understand the patterns, experiences, and stressors that may be impacting your life, while building healthier coping skills and practical steps toward change.

As a Christian therapist, I am also comfortable incorporating faith, spirituality, biblical principles, and prayer into counseling when that is something you desire. Faith integration is always guided by your comfort level and goals, and it is never forced.

My goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, strengthen emotional wellness, and move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and hope.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a relaxed, supportive, and nonjudgmental way. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to work on, and any immediate concerns that feel important to address.

There is no pressure to share everything at once. My focus is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and understood while we begin identifying your goals for counseling. We may also talk about your background, current stressors, symptoms, strengths, supports, and what has or has not been helpful for you in the past.

If faith or spirituality is important to you, we can also discuss how you would like that included in therapy. As a Christian therapist, I am comfortable integrating faith, biblical values, prayer, or spiritual reflection when desired, but this is always based on your comfort level and goals.

By the end of the first session, my hope is that you leave with a clearer sense of next steps, what therapy with me may look like, and whether you feel I am a good fit to support you moving forward.
